Here is my delima. I am running win2k sp2 with DX8.1. I have an 32 mb Elsa Erazor X (Gforce 256) that i have had for a couple years and all of a sudden when i try and start Motorcross maddness it gives me an error message that no 3-d accelerator is detected. Quake 3 works ok but looks like crap. i have tried all sorts of drivers. The new detonator, the elsa drivers and even some older nvidia reference drivers. nothing seems to be working. Could it be that the card is just old? Even the icons in my task bar are not as vibrant in color as they once were. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It might have to do something with the age of your card. A friend of mine had the same message using a 4MB Riva128 card (Diamond V330) :p

It sounds like your card is far too old to play any DirectX 8 games. You might try looking for newer drivers but even then I doubt it will work. For a few dollars you can pick up a Radeon LE, a Kyro2 or a GF2 MX which will play pretty much any game out there.

Another thing is that Unreal Tournament will not run in fullscreen mode

try cleaning the drivers from the registry and reinstalling them. I use the 22.50's with my GF 256 DDR. 21.83's didn't work with it. check to see that the card is seated. pull it out and reseat it- a little dust can cause havoc- i use bottled freon to blow dust out of my case occasionally. you can find it at electronic shops. i'd try reseating and cleaning first.
