Hiya.

I recently bought an Asus V7100 w/ twinview functionality. I can get both my monitors to work in W98SE but not in W2k. I have tried the latest Asus drivers, the drivers that came with the card, the latest official nVidia drivers and the latest leaked drivers. No dice.

When trying to detect the second monitor I can both see and hear that the card is communicating with the monitor (it gets activated just briefly) but no more. The only option in the twinview settings are "Standard (disabled)", none of the others are available.

Any ideas? Do you need any more info about my system? If so, I'll dig some more.

I'm assuming you've gone into the settings for the display and configured Win2K to extend the desktop onto the second monitor? IF not, do that.

Well, the problem is that I can't do that as W2k doesn't know that there's a second display. 8/

In Win98 I had to activate the "Extend" mode in the nVidia Twinview options before the OS could find my second monitor. As I mentioned above, the "Extend" option is grayed out in W2k.

I think the problem lies in the fact that the card somehow doesn't detect my second monitor at all in W2k but as the entire setup works flawlessly in Win98 I have a very hard time believeing that the hardware is to blame.

Anyhow, thanks for the reply. 8)
