ACtually, I'd call it enforcing the law. Keep up the good work Neo!

Secretly I think he gets off on this whole thing.

I'm all for law enforcement, & I'd probably call them myself, but posting it here is just gratuitous.

Dont worry about the hydrant...the fire department has no trouble getting to it even if there is a car in the way. They have tools that can either break the windows to gain access, or some have devices that can remove the entire hood of a car. Fire hydrants are perfectly good parking spots, no need to let them go to waste when there is no fire.

I sure hope I don't have to call the police every Friday night when I get home :|

LOL. Wish it was so easy in reality. It's super frustrating seeing same problems happening week after week. Around 10:30, Friday night, there's a good chance college kids party flood had nowhere to park and park in front of my home in front of the hydrant. Anyways, I forgot my cellphone at a friend's place and I didn't have the energy to go back in and call, yeah so for this special ocassion, I left a note saying if he's ever seen parked there again, he'll be towed.

Posting here hoping to get your nuts toasted again is trolling.

Maybe you should put at least ONE call to your local public works department. Ask them to put a sign up reminding people that parking in front of a fire hydrant will result in their car being towed. You can tell them that this seems to be a recurring problem at a hydrant by your home, and you believe in would be in the public interest to install such a sign at this location.

Yeah, because all that red paint on the curb in front of the hydrant doesn't convey that exact same message already.

I swear if we had to put up signs for all the stupid people out there, I would start a sign company and become a bajillionare.

You mean like if they had to put a sign on the lawnmower that says dont put your fingers underneath the deck. Or if they had to put a sign on the hair dryer advising people not to use while in the bathtub.

Quite true ;)

Signs littering the roadway that say things like "Driving on sidewalk may result in pedestrian death" or painting every crack and weed on the sidewalk yellow and putting up signs on every single one that say "DANGER TRIPPING ON CRACK MAY RESULT IN BROKEN NOSE". You have to draw the line somewhere. As stated in a previous quote, the fire department has ways of dealing with a$$hats like these.

Eventually it will spill over onto other days of the week.

Those boys in blue just look so good from his window, why stop at Friday?

The firemen will just break the windows of the car if there is a fire, plus the owner will be cited. Leaving notes would be a better policy than just having them towed. Then again, maybe just keep having them towed to put some more money in the towing co's pockets... get the local economy going again.
