Sure, pay to have his car repainted, its the only right thing to do. Maybe a $3000 bill will make you think better of vandalizing someone's car the next time?

i think you might have some mental problems. seriously you should think about seeing a psychiatrist or something.

lol damn everyone would be pretty pissed off at you if this was a mustang or a domestic car. but since this is a ricer, nobody really cares.

i do though. thats not cool at all. i drive a honda myself, and i plan to fix it up soon. but i mean c'mon, just cuz youre jealous dont mean you gotta do something to the guys car. why dont you go find whos car that was and tell him you did that. thats what you should do to redeem yourself.

First of all,why would you be jealous of a super riced out car? I usually laugh at them myself.

But no matter what the car,you were way out of line and I wish you would have gotten bagged by a cop or the owner.

Say there is a guy jealous of your house and you don't have worth a insurance. How would you feel if he detonated your house without your knowledge?


Edit: If the victim of this vadalism reported the incident it should be on file. If a handful of people can tip the Bergen city police or New Jersey police about this crime with a mention of this forum they might do something about it. If the police, AnandTech webmaster and his ISP all cooperate, it isn't that hard to have him traced and charged. >>

Oh my! Someone did that to my mum's car just very recently. They did the same to her previous car.

It perturbs me that your envy was taht deeply rooted enough to assault another person's property. At the same time, you have admitted that you were wrong and your conscience would not let you rest. One who goes through the feeling of guilt at least is human and is not a sociopath.

I won't be all over you since you are remorseful about your conduct. Besides, you were not obliged to share the story with us.

About how to remedy the situation: Do not ever engage in such conduct again. I would advise you pay the expense of fixing it. However, I think it might get you into legal soup if the owner of the car in question decides to take action. So, it is better you simply be penitent and do not engage in such activity ever again. How about donating that cost for fix to a non-profit organisation you endorse? Lastly, learn to be envious in a positive manner, not negative. Learn to be envious so that you are motivated to do better and achieve that same thing; and so that you can rejoice in someone's success--rather than grow malice.

It is up to you what you are going to do. You should be responsible enough to make a decision and handle the matter in the best way possible.
