NM, I feel it is wrong to give them the title conservative.

With things like this in response to a conversation on defense and the economy. Sounds more like winning a football game more than an election. Can we actually attack people on the issues ?

Does any of that matter now, no. I think not. Bush won, get over it. Go cry in a corner. Kerry lost, the person who deserved to win, the better candidate won. Let Kerry take his gay marriage and SHOVE IT! Queers for Kerry '04. "Only steers and queers come from texas, and you sure don't look like a steer to me..."

Christ almighty! There are smart conservatives, both in and out of P&N. This is a troll post, amd.

It's not a troll, it is what I put up with eveyday.

Yup. As soon as you show me a smart Liberal within P&N. 😛
😉

I see lots of smart libs in here. Regarding the OP, they aren't conservatives. I know lots of conservatives, and nobody that likes bush.

Yeah, they don't seem very conservatives, but I lack a better word.

I'm gonna have to agree with amdfanboy. The only smart conservatives I've interacted with seem to be here on the P&N boards. Most say, "Kerry is a douchebag", or "Kerry will cut the military and let the terrorists win".

Kind of like the Liberals who think Bush will bring back the draft, make an amendment to the U.S. Constitution to ban gay marriages, etc. See, both sides have issues ... just the words change. 😉

There are lots of smart conservatives. More to your real point, there are lots of smart Bush voters. I have one who works for me. He's a smart guy who put a lot of thought into it and decided to vote for Bush. We have a lot of great, civil conversations because he is well-informed and he doesn't mindlessly bleat the party talking points.

He doesn't really care for Bush -- this was the impetus for the poll I posted a week or two ago -- but he simply felt Kerry was worse. I can respect that, even though I disagreed with him. It's the sheep on both sides that drive me crazy.

Draft no, but quite possibly the ban on SSM.

I think we can all agree there are a fair number of dumbasses on each side, and far from just being the annoying little turds who treat Bush victory like it's a football game or say Bush is Satan, they drag the whole political process down with their retarted behavior.

I think that's the first post from you that I can agree with. 😉

<-- conservative who doesn't like to post in P&N too much (past couple of days exempt) because of the signal-to-noise ratio

If you're using electronics terms, distortion comes to mind. Clearly, the distortion here on P&N is higher than the S/N ratio. 😉

Actually, that's the 'N' in S/N: noise. When S/N < 1, you have more noise than signal. Like here. 🙂

I've seen plenty of very intellgent indiviuals who have very good solid jobs and have excelled throughout their lifes. Why are they voting for Bush? They are too busy to put more than 5 minutes into research of the canadiates. Many people are easy convinced Kerry is a bad man, how many times did the SwiftBoat commericals repeat themselves? I feel happy considering the blue spots on North Dakota are our most Rich Districts.

I'm not a very mean person and i don't feel the need to insult people so I sent this in reply. I'm probably going to get insulted back, but what the hell.

I'm not really offended by your post and I completely respect your opinion so I will leave it in it's entirety, but I am somewhat disturbed by it's lack of accuracy.

How did you ever get the idea that Kerry was for gay marriage?

He has clearly stated his position that he is for civil unions and against marriage.

[*]NY Daily News
[*]Miami Herald
[*]Boston.com (Even supports a ban on it here on the condition of civil unions)

You might ask why I am drawing this distinction on gay marriage versus civil unions and that is a good question. My answer is unfourtunatly a question on why you draw a distinction between Bush and and Kerry when they currently same exact position on the issue. Bush has decided that he is now for civil unions. So much for the "flip-flopper" comment, huh?. Don't believe me?

Really? Through the campaign, most of the conservatives I know mostly defended Bush (he defnitely needed a lot of defending 🙂). It was the liberals I knew who never talked about Kerry, but rather only attacked Bush
