any ideas

Hmmm, my Ti 4200 (AGP4X) and my 8RDA+ love working together. The only idea I can suggest is to disable AGP8X and Fast Writes in the BIOS and see if that does it for you. I personally didn't have to do this but others have.

Good luck.

I tried that, didn't make a diff..I tried raising the AGP voltage as well but it's a no go.

thanks

What monitor are you running and does windows recognize it correctly?

Un-install your nvidia drivers. Delete the folder they have been extracted to after the un-install.

put the TI4200 in the PC and change the card's driver to standard VGA.

Then try installing the newest Nvidia drivers.

turns out that the vid card was grounding on the case....9 out of 10 times I install and setup a new comp outside the case, didn't this time. live and learn.
