HAHAHAHA

WTF happened to Pujols, OH YA, he was 0-4. face it, if it wasn't for that homer game 5 he had a very very forgettable series. and in the end, he didn't come thru in the clutch. 🙂

dayum, it's not even lidge in the game. i guess it's not technically a close situation but WTF. mb they just don't feel like the cardinals are good enough.

OR maybe they want to give lidge a rest??

Good game Astros. You beat us. WHile you beat us pretty much fair and square i cant help but think what might have happened had we had an umpire crew who could tell the difference between a tag and a miss, and a ball and a strike. 🙁

Good luck in the WS, im rooting for the 'stros.

He hit for a higher avg than IIRC anyone on either team in the series. Not only that, how many times do you think Pujols can come through. Everytime up he lead off. The guy is arguably the best hitter in baseball, but you can only do so much.

I didn't whine at all. I said i think things may have turned out differently (duh) if certain calls had been made. I then went on to say that the Astros beat us fair and square. We were outplayed.

I dont see whining anywhere in that statement.

From ESPN:

The other thing we'll never know is what might have happened if Lidge had had to jog back to the mound Wednesday, back to save one more game, back to face Pujols again with a whole season riding on it.

We'll never know because it never happened. Lidge had pitched in four games in a row in this series. So his manager, Phil Garner, decided to save him from this one unless the Astros really needed him. And it never came to that.
