I get 100 free minutes of long distant calling from my phone company so I really dont want to change plans but I did come across this dial around number that I thought I would share. I havent had to use them yet but I looks like I will be soon if I keep calling so many people.
Its 4 cents a minute for in-state and state-to-state calls which it much better then the standard 10 cents most charge in my area. They do charge a USF fee of 9.9% of total monthly charges, excluding intrastate usage fees.
Call $ Cents
Let me know what yall think.

I would still use my prepaid call even though the conneciton charge might
be 60 or 70 cents/minute. I only use it for overseas calls. If I get a machine
on the other end and hang up quickly (within 2 secs) I don't get charged
the conneciton fee.
Since I only use it to call about 4 or 6 numbers I pretty much know the
answering pattern on the other end.

I am quick satisfied with the service. Paying $15.00 for a $20.00 card (discounted 25%) lets me talk to Ireland for 30 hours.

Not a bad rate at all

By far the cheapest long distance with least hassle I've found is AVCinc.

Something like 3.8 c/minute in and out of state, no monthly fee and low USF (percentage not some flat fee like others.) 1 second billing incremements as well!

They even give you volume discounts after so much usage. You can also upload a list of phone numbers and names and it will personalize your bill (great for roomates!)

I've been using them for over a year without any problems!

trs25 the problem that I see looking at AVCinc web page, is that its not a flat rate. It may be good for some customers, but others it would seriously suck. For instance, California is around 4 cents a minute, whereas north carolina is 10 cents a min, and new mexico is 13 cents a min. Besides, its still not as low as the 2.9 cents a min from onesuite which I'm seriously considering.
