NJ Nets might move to Brooklyn. Yay or nay?

nay. then there will really be no reason to ever visit nj.

but then again, having a truely state sized waste dump so close to home has it's benifits.

honestly, the nets have been in the finals for 2 years yet no one in the meadowlands has even noticed.

I heard they're loosing out millions staying in NJ right now, even though they made it to the finals two years in a row. It'll be cool to have another NY basketball team

Absolutely, posi-freaking-tootly YAY!!! That's close to where I grew up, and is an easier trip than to the Meadowlands from where I live now. Can I get a "WOOHOO", Brooklyn?!? J Kidd and Co. are coming to the Planet of Brooklyn!!!

Edit: Ahem, that is if the bid goes through and the arena can be built.

i live 2 block from where the proposed stadium will be built, the amt of people comin in will
be good, in terms of bringing more businesses in the area

parking will be absolutely horrendous for residents

Yea we are ghetto and what?!?! LoL, if they took Brooklyn out of NYC and made its a city, it would be the fourth largest in America. Jesus. I didn't know we were that big. Putting it in an area of Brooklyn that hasn't been the best of places recently will hopefully increase the standards of living there.
 
I wholeheartedly support anyone with the common sense to move out of northeastern New Jersey. The western part of the state is nice, but the northeast is an open sewer. However, moving from Jersey to Brooklyn is a little like abandoning Iraq to settle in Iran. What's the point?

ghetto gang bangers and drug dealers hanging out in the street corners will scare away potential patrons, so attendance will be just as low.
the only thing it has going for it is public transportation which will make it more accessible than east rutherford but most ppl in brooklyn are too poor to afford to go to games anyway, so that negates that advantage.

at least in the swamps of NJ, u don't have to worry about ppl mugging u as u leave the stadium.

i never said ALL of brooklyn is. i named one part that isn't, but for every one part u can name that is nice, someone can probly name 10 that's horrid (i don't know brooklyn well at all).
u've got to be kidding if u think brooklyn is remotely close to being a nice neighborhood/borough whatever

i never said ALL of brooklyn is. i named one part that isn't, but for every one part u can name that is nice, someone can probly name 10 that's horrid (i don't know brooklyn well at all).

Dude, you got no clue. I grew up in Brooklyn, there are nice areas and not such nice areas as you have in every city across the US. Brooklyn is no more ghetto than anywhere else.

sure dumbo is a nice place... go there a decade ago it was just a barrel wasteland filled with warehouses until the artsy people in manhattan started moving in that area and redeveloped the place.

i wonder if you even been in brooklyn
