I thought I read somthing stating that AMD GPU's took a Adobe Flash, compared to Nividia.
The reason I am asking this my wife mac seems to be fading away.
I was going to build her a new PC and get Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 for all of her pictures and the ones she will take in the future.
I just wanted to be sure there wasn't going to be a big hit in using a AMD GPU I have both a GTX 680 and a HD 7950 just want make sure I give her the one that works the best for the sofware.

Unless the box also does gaming, a 680 or 7950 will each hog a ton of power and offer little to no benefits. Pretty much anything above the lowest-end aught to be enough. I wouldn't get anything higher than a 7750, unless gaming is involved.

A superior CPU will be worth far more than a high-end gaming video card.

I know Adobe Premiere requires Nvidia for GPU acceleration. IF photoshop has acceleration I would bet its the same, although I can't imagine Photoshop, elements no less, is really going to use the GPU at all.
