Just keep it in a cool place.. I doubt you'll have any problems.. I'm sure it's illegal though.
 
Why not?

I have a gallon of 40% nitro fuel for a gas-powered remote control car at my parents' house. It's just sitting in the garage. Big whoop, wanna fight about it?
 
REally. If you take care of it and dont be stupid. You will be "ok" (ok as in not dieing). If the apartment catches fire im sure that the nitro would cause considerable damage.
 
is this the same stuff they run in top fuel dragsters and funnycars? if so, i think its perfectly safe at room temperature and normal atmospheric pressure. I saw on espn once, they were putting matches out in it. it needs high pressure to ignite etc.

 
Yes it is the same mix but less Nitro.
FYI I've handled this stuff before. It is safe under normal conditions. Your average bottle of vodka is more flammable than Nitro.
