NFS, does Chrysler still hold 1/3 of the market? A couple of years ago I remember hearing that between the Chrysler and Dodge vans, they made up 1/3rd of all minivan sales...

I only ask because I'm curious to know if the Odyssey or the Sienna have taken top spot in minivan market share. I've been hearing that these two vans have been gaining popularity like crazy...

I think that Chrysler owns 40% of the market (btw Caravan and T&C). Everyone else fights for the rest. But in single nameplate sales, I think the sales leaders are Carvan, then Sienna, then Odyssey.

The Odyssey will never take top spot because Honda limits the number they product to keep resale numbers up. I remember looking at them when shopping for something bigger and there was a 3 month wait for them. Also, since the Pilot and MDX are made on the same production line, they tend to steal away capacity for the more popular vehicles.

Wow, I'm surprised. I know Chrysler originated the Minivan segment, but I've been hearing lots about the build quality in the Odyssey and not much on the Carava/T&C, I kind of assumed Honda was gaining ground
