I have been looking around and this what I have narrowed down to:

Nissan Altima : Great Style after the 02's -> I guess I can get a decent used one for 15K or so
Mazda6 : Again the stylish probably an 03 for 15k or a new for 3-4 K more
BMW 3's : For $20K or so I'll get 00 or 01
Accord new coupe dunno what it costs

Help me choose one ??

Actually I like the mazda3 but since its new and smaller than the 6 I kinda am not keen on that .. anyone owns one ?

P.S. I am not in for any Camrys/Corolla/Civics coz every other guy has it

The Bimmer is in a class by itself compared to the rest of the list, but if you are considering it: BMW > *.

I have a Mazda6i and love it. This coming from a guy who hadn't drove a sedan in 6 years (custom van 2 years, custom van 3 years, Expedition 1 year).

Well a BMW would be prob the oldest in that price range .. so will it make sense getting an older bimmer than say a newer mazda or nissan ?

If I could pay for the BMW repair bill, there would be no question. A BMW with a few years under it's belt is still way nicer than any thing else in that list.

Like stated already, the BMW > any other car on the list. It's a different class of car but it's also used.

In terms of the Accord vs the Altima - the Accord is a better car in pretty much every way. It doesn't have quite the sporty suspension or anything but it's a much better car IMO. It was no contest whatsoever after test driving an Accord. (I just bought an 04 a week or so ago) The 6 I didn't even consider but supposedly it's a nice sporty sedan, more of an alternative to the Altima than the Accord/Camry.

why is Altima no comparision to a camry/accord ?
I think it has more room than both of them beats both of them in style.. then why ?

The Accord is the best of the new cars but it is not as sporty as the others.
It depends on what you like, if you like sedans then get the Mazda6, if you want a coupe than pick the Accord from your list.

Me, personally, I'd rather have a new car than a used car.

They are no more expensive to keep up than any American car.

Total upkeep may or may not be more expensive than an American car but if something goes wrong it's going to cost a tad more than a domestic. It all depends on the car, I've known people to have BMWs that have had nothing go wrong for 10 years and I've known people to get rid of their BMW because the warranty was going to end and it was in the shop so much that it would have been very cost prohibitive to keep it assuming it continued to need so much service.

That's why I personaly went with Acura. It's a pimp ride but underneath it's a Honda so I don't count on it giving me too much trouble.

RSX is a different type of car. Make up your mind about what type of car you want. RSX is in the league of Civic SI's, Celica's, Focus SVT's, Golf's.

I would definitely consider a CPO w/ warranty BMW, either a 3 or 5 series. I love the angel eyes on those Fives.

Meh... never been too impressed with the 3-series. I've got a friend here at work who had an '01 up an until a month or so ago. It was pretty nice, had the Harmon Kardon sound system and leather seating. But the leather seats were hard as a rock and nothing seemed to really stand out as "outclassing" anything in the Accord class. But that's just me.
