Nissan 350z, Mazda RX-8, or Lancer Evo?

The RX-8 Might handle pretty well but it doesnt handle much better if any than the Z, and theres just not enough power, I test drove one of each and the difference was real (and honestly, its not NEARLY as striking as the Z).

The Evo is fun, but, I dont know about you but I stopped expecting interiors like that when I hit 20.
 
the lancer evo is an incredible performer... but when it comes down to it, its still an econobox. it doesnt have the looks, class, or quality of the other two.

i would go for the Z. the rx8 is weak :|
 
g35 coupe
It's very simple. Lancer Evo is great on the track, but if you are just commuting or sitting in traffic, it's an econobox with huge insurance rate.
G35 is a sports luxury GT coupe regardless of how you drive it 😉 If RX-8 had a VQ35DE engine, that would be my choice, but rotary is not my type of thing.
 
My buddy just picked up the 350z for his midlife crisis. It handles well, and has nice pickup, but the visibility blows in it. Not being able to see out the back of it well, if at all drives me insane. I also don't care for all the blank space on the inside. While there's no glove box... there's nothing there to take it's place, just blank dash. Kinda blah to me.
 
That is a tough one...

I would probably go with the EVO. I have not driven or rid in one as of yet, but every magazine you read seems to think it is the most fun they have ever had in a car. In the end though, I probably wouldn't get any of those as I would definitely end up getting too many tickets in them...after all, they were meant to drive fast. My second runner up from your list would definitely be the RX-8. I'm not to big on the looks of the z, but I do like the looks of the g35 Coupe a good bit.

350 has more power for hte money, but i personally wouldn't care, i wouldn't have any use for all that power. that and my friend's z is apparently blindspot madness for short folk like me 🙁 not too sure how much worse/better the rx8 might be.... but i want an rx8 🙂
 
the RX-8 is probably the most comfortable of those 3. the evo definately has the harshest ride. the 350z is a 2 seater which kinda puts it behind the other 2 in my opinion. if you are driving a passat now you are probably used the the space and the 350z will look really cramped to you. the evo will probably fit your needs spacewise and performancewise but im sure you'll hate the ride and the interior. so my vote goes toward the rx-8...even though its not quite as quick as the other 2...its a lot more civilized

Yep, if you need 4 seats the RX8 is the natural choice. If you don't care, then the 350z is much faster than the RX8.

And, the EVO is a mitsubishi. Prepare for massive value depreciation, crappy mitsubishi quality, and having to drive a mitsubishi. Buy a Subaru if you want a rally car.

yea my cousin's friend has a lot of problems with his older eclipse GSX an his mom is having a lot of problems with the diamante. so instead of the evo, consider the STi. even though the subaru is not as fast or handles as good as the evo, it has a better ride and little better interior
 
RX-8 is blah.. that car is crap..
EVO is a Mitsubishi (what can i say, i hate them)

350Z is wicked.. and it looks best too.

Its not as razor sharp as an Evo or STI, but its right up there with the 350z. None of the mentioned cars in this thread would even touch it in any sort of speed competition.

With all due respect nobody would pretend that the Pontiac namebrand induces the same sort of respect as the Nissan one. Not to pretend that Nissan is an audi, but let's be serious for a moment.
