I find it funnier that people actually wear this stuff to the airport. When I went on my first flight, I kept my watch and other metal items in my carry-on. So you can't wear them to the airport? Big flippin' deal. I can put the stuff back on as soon as i sit down and wait for the flight.

Same for her. She could have just as easily made the process easier for everyone and put the items in her carryon or luggage. When she got wherever the heck she wanted to go, she could have put them back in. She was stupid IMO.

Are you kidding me? It's not even close to comparable; removing and putting back on a piercing, particularly from your nipples is not even remotely similar to removing and putting on a watch. Try again.

I'll take your word on that 😉 but people should know going in that these TSA people are crazy and plan accordingly. If there's a decent chance I'm going to have to pry metal out of my chest I'd opt to do it at my own place rather than risk having to do it in some TSA screening booth. Heck, they'd probably make you remove tooth fillings if they thought it was possible

Well let's just say I fly relatively often and I've never had a problem.

Regardless of what this woman looked like (fortunately I skipped the picture!) it was inexcusable for the TSA agents to insist that she remove her nipple-piercings in order to board that flight ... what was she going to do, pull them off in-flight & use them to hijack the plane ?!?

I'm not a fan of law-suits in most situations, but in this case the TSA & in particular the asshole-agents involved deserve whatever they get.

Apparently, there is a difference between metal in the body and metal attached to the body. I have an artificial knee and am always pulled aside for some extra airport luvin but, I've always been allowed on the plane.

Except the fact that many people never are asked to take out piercings.
My friend had his nipple pierced and we flew from Tx to Montana and switched out planes along the way. He never was asked to remove it, neither was I to remove my lip ring.
I think this was bs.

Gloria Allred

:disgust:

Of course I have to admit that I wasn't upset with her when she represented the hot chick in the short skirt who was banned from the Southwest flight... Double standard? Yes.

And God bless Hef for fulfilling my prophecy on that one...

Yup, when you go to the metal detector, you should be thinking about removing all metal. I throw my keys, phone, wallet into my backpack. If i have a watch on that goes too. Sunglasses too just in case. You never know. Why risk setting the thing off and spending more time with a secondary search? It's for the sake of speeding the line up and making your trip easier as well as for others.

I think the TSA was totally asshole-ish in this situation, but the woman should now know how to travel. I mean if it's that hard to remove the piercing, then yeah, I can see why she didn't do it, but if it's as easy as taking off a watch, then please remember to deal with this stuff beforehand.

Here is my problem wit the whole deal, this idiots who sue for millions of dollars with their asshole lawyers when its not like this was something sanctioned by the higher ups. The only people whou should be sued (andd clearly lose their jobs) are the assholes who actually did this, companies and government agencies shouldn't be responsible for what a few retarded people do which they have no control over. IF you can show that they knew this was going on, or that they condoned it then thats one things, but a few idiot employess shouldn't screw over the entire agency. With anything employess thousands of people there will always be some bad apples to matter how good your screening process is (and for crappy jobs like this it probably aint much).

Just my .02$, but I hate all these frivolous lawsuits, and REALLY cannot stand these bloodsucking lawyers like this BITCH Gloira Allred.

After seeing the pic at the top of the article, you want more? :Q
why did they have to include that pic? it's not at all what i expected her to look like. 🙁

anyways... total bullshit she had to endure from the TSA agents. if the whole story is like presented in the article, she will sue and win.

I for one will take one for the team here, I will gladly help any attractive woman remove their nipple piercing for a nominal charge.

What about disgusting old womens?

I've never flown but I've also never had my nipple rings (or any of my other 6 piercings) set off ANY kind of metal detector. Do you think they stop every person who has their nipples pierced? i dont. And why nipple ones...? is it because they are hidden? The rings in my nipples are the same kind as in my ears, and my lip... I wonder if I would have to remove all of them, seeing as they are all the same metal/shape.

Shit. Don't you people realize she could've taken over the frickin cockpit with those nipple rings!? Or used them as weapons!? Thank goodness for those fine TSA agents, at least they made the plane safe for the flight.

You think it's Gloria Allred? 😀

Lets see.... you're going on an airplane. You know you will have to pass through security. You know you will have to go through a metal detector.
Either
A) Buy jewelry that is not going to be picked up.
B) Don't wear them.
