you know what i mean... parents who arent wealthy are going to be buying Wii's. not all parents went out and bought their kids $400 360's, my dad didnt buy my brother one, and hes got plenty of money.

i couldnt imagine my dad buying me a $400 console... i'd see pigs fly before that ever happened.

Heh..when I was sitting in line at Wal-Mart for the 360 launch, I was in line with a daughter buying a 360 for her dad, a grandmother and grandfather buying a 360 for their grandson, a mom buying it for her son and her husband/boyfriend in line with her buying one for himself.
 
well.....if madden looks good on it, I'd consider getting one...I mean honestly, like that MS guy said, you could get this, AND a 360 for the price of the ps3, when the ps3 doesn't look like it's going ot compare to the 360....
 
I am very excited to play games on this.

I will be the next wave of gaming. Kinda like what the N64 did with their games in the short time.

Still it can't touch the SNES library. I loved it when ALL developers made games for it

actually it'll probably sell the most, because it is the one console that seriously distinguishes itself from the others.

The PS2 won last round by a land slide, by being on the market a lot sooner.

The xbox beat the Gamecube in some markets, in numbers, but i believe at least part of the reason was the ease of hacking the xbox and stealing games. (by keeping copies of rentals, or just downloading).

Gamecube and it's games were almost certainly a lot more profitable for Nintendo than the xbox was for Microsoft.

Virtual Console:Wii will have downloadable access to 20 years of fan-favorite titles originally released for Nintendo 64, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and even the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). The Virtual Console also will feature a "best of" selection from Sega Genesis titles and games from the TurboGrafx console (a system jointly developed by NEC and Hudson). It also will be home to new games conceived by indie developers whose creativity is larger than their budgets.

i hate nintendo. making wait till maybe october to have my super smash fun. did they mention anything about network play? I kind of assumed that but don't remember seeing it.

whatever, still going to play zelda.. and I'm really damn anxious to see how metroid will play w/ the remote. more importantly.. i want my ds lite now, it's a much closer date 🙂

its the first one ive ever considered buying at retail price. last time i had one at retail was the NES my dad got for me when i was a kid.
