went to my local Best Buy about a month ago, they must have just got a shipment in, there were about 20 of them piled on a table they had on display by the checkout.

Still hard to find them in madison, you can get them if you bug the store and find out when they get shipments in, but I am far to lazy for that.

I spent a solid week of calling all local retailers,bestbuy,CC, walmart, etc and the game stores, I got lucky and my wife found that a shipment just got in at gamestop. She got there by 11am and they were down to the last 2, the last one was gone by the time she checked out. Its crazy how these things are still hard to find. I wonder if they are purposely limiting supply trying to keep hype and demand up.

If I was looking for one id sign up at amazon for notification if you check your email often.

Jeez, still? just call up a gamestop and ask when they get their orders in, they always tell me, i got 2 Wii's back when they just came out like that. sold one for $450.... shoulda kept doin it too i guess..

ebay prices are around $50 over retail for a brand new Wii.

Sure sure . About 2 months ago I saw 3 sitting on a shelf at Wal Mart at like 1am (don't ask). I didn't know they were still in high demand at the time or else I would have picked them up and sold them at cost to some friends.

I personally love the Wii but think they could make it better. Either the motion sensors are not that accurate or the games cannot interpret the motion properly. It only gets frustrating sometimes though.

I've seen exactly one Wii on the shelf since I got mine a couple weeks after launch. A coworker totally lucked out when he went to a gamestop and on a whim asked if they had any in stock, SCORE he got one. But other than that still hard to come by down here.
