Nintendo just stole $300 from me

so you're paying $300 to play a game next month that you could have probably paid $50 to play today.

SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT PLAN WHERE DO I SIGN UP?

The Mario game on display at Best Buy was really good. I am sure he could find a few more games to play.

Don't get two just to keep one boxed and sell it later. Let somebody gets it who would actually use it.

Yup.

I honestly don't do a whole ton of limited edition stuff, I passed on Bioshock Infinite, GTAV, Borderlands, and other popular high volume games. But anything Nintendo, Zelda or JRPG is a no brainer, as are those rare once in a generation games like The Last of Us.

Should look up how much my Ni no Kuni Wizard Edition and The Last of Us Post Pandemic Edition are worth 😀

I should note that I do not typically buy multiples or flip them, its just nice to know I'm not throwing away money on this hobby when I can see my used complete game a year later is worth more than I paid for it new :awe:

I found that no matter what kind of collectors item something is, you're extremely unlikely to ever retire off of it. I mean really, the additional value over original retail that many such games and systems go for vs the care of the keepsake plus the risk of it going down in value (thank you game gear) really isn't worth going for unless you are just a huge fan of it and like to display it perhaps.

I'm saying that people who invest in something with hopes of future value alone are stupid at best unless you just really love it personally making that investment really more a sentimental thing than hopes of cash value. I doubt anyone ever purchased Air Raid and kept it all those years just based on hopes it would one day land a goldmine. Likely it was just shoved in an attic by chance or they really loved the game.

Can't wait. I will be at The Swamp the weekend this comes out. But I will for sure be picking it up when I get back.

Has there been any confirmation on whether this will be already preinstalled or is it just a voucher code that can be sold? I have three limited edition windwaker games that are already on preorder.

sort of off topic, but I have never played wind waker, and eventually want to play it. I know that dolphin is really awesome for emulating wii games to look even better than they look on wii. Will the same be true for playing this on dolphin (the gamecube edition).

I dont plan on buying a Wii U unless its MUCH cheaper and the games library grows a ton, so probably never.

For someone like me, how much worse is the gamecube/dolphin game going to be vs eventually buying and playing this on wii u? (for people who have played on dolphin)

There already are mods for the gamecube WindWaker on PC to make it look nearly as good as this remake.

Of course, it won't have the redone lighting system, new models, or added gameplay elements.

If you are never going to buy a wii u then just get the emulator. I think the wii u is an amazing deal since you can play windwaker away from the tv. Also I like the games library that they have already. Disclaimer though. I don't play games that often. Maybe 20 hours a month max. I imagine if you are playing games on a daily basis the wii u would not have much to offer.

I think I'm gonna get this as a Christmas present for me... I mean the kids. It's gonna suck having to wait until Christmas to play it but it's the only way I can get the wife to buy off on it.

20 years from now for sure. More thinking of a Christmas get rich quick scheme. That has worked itself out fairly well for me in the past.

Sounds like a lot of games to me... :hmm:

Just corrected the sentence should be 20 hrs a month max. 20 games a month and I would be living the dream haha Most of those hours are playing with my 7 year old nephew with Marvel Heroes(not bad) or Minecraft(which I hate).

Well, good luck. I had to sell my regular WiiU at quite a loss to get rid of it. Maybe once more killer titles come out it won't be so bad but yeah, good luck.

Release day for the bundle! Getting pumped going to leave early from work to take my nephew to gamestop to pick it up.

Btw for anyone interested. Best buy is selling a few games for wii u for 19.99. I picked up Blops 2 for 19.99 and Ben 10 for 11.99. I thought it was a pretty good deal.

Yeah pretty excited. Haven't opened up a new console in years. Christmas in September! Then again in November.

picked it up a few hours ago. Don't know why there is so much hate on the this console. I actually think it is reasonably fun. A little slow load times to home screen but that is the only issue so far. Eshop is kinda weak for finding demos.

The zelda HD graphics are really good. Very impressed. Way better than the gamecube version.

The gamestop I picked it up from said mine was the last console they had. Apparently there were a lot of people buying them.
