Very unlikely. They're trying to milk early adopters, nothing more. When the DSL gets phased out, this will drop in price.Originally posted by: ducci
The DSi is Nintendo's way of giving the DS essentially a price hike.

The DSi is a nice system but it's WAY too expensive for what it is. It's currently going for an unbelievably $199 here in Canada, which is just for the hardware itself. $60 difference from the Lite. I'd only get it if they implemented a virtual console on it, like with the Wii. That would be sweet. I doubt Nintendo is going to go the same route as Sony is by having major titles for download. At least not anytime soon. I'd say if you don't have a DS, pick up the Lite. It will probably drop in price over the coming months as stores try to get rid of them.

Wow, the ability to d/l classic GB, GBA, and perhaps even NES and SNES games with the DS would be AWESOME! It might just convince me to upgrade from my DS Lite.

Does this thing finally support WPA? I'm still using WEP at home because my DS forces me to do so

It supports WPA, but games made before the DSi only work if you use WEP.
