I love my DS.

I bought one for my gf this christmas. It took me forever to find one in stock. I hit 5 different gamestops, an fye and best buy before I found one, then the line was so long I didn't have time to wait in it. I finally managed to snag one at 4:58 Christmas Eve.

Couldn't find a new one. Bought a used one from Gamezrazy. Only used one I could find and the screen looked great. No scratches. Got it home and discovered one of the hinges is cracked.

I had a lot of fun with FF3 DS. It has level grinding and one of the harder endings to an FF game. You can't save in dungeons so you have to do them in 1 shot. Pheonix downs and other potions are rare. In this manner, it kind of retains an old school challenge where you can actually fail an encounter. I wouldn't call the game extremely hard though, since at it's heart it's just an RPG and you can simply grind a few more levels to make it past a difficult spot.

Is it a DS Lite? If it is, you can find one Here.

How many times do you have to go through the starter dungeon?
I swear, whoever thought that it was a good idea to make something like this needs to die. I certainly didn't enjoy every minute of this game.
