Wow I just discovered this little DSL device. Last handheld was the original gameboy. Looks like they have come a long way. Do you think new colors will come out around christmas? I will be buying one of these units when I get the money to do so. Anyone have one of these they would like to discuss or brag about?
 
I was in the same boat as you. Last handhand was the original GameBoy. I still have it too. 🙂 Picked up a DSL with some bday gift cards. I still can't put the thing down. Lots of fun.
 
You can already order any color you want. Check out Lik-Sang. Sure they are a little more priced, but thats cause they aren't out in the US yet. There aren't any guarantees they will hit the US either, so you may be waiting forever.

The DS is region free too so you dont have to worry where you buy it from.
 
I want a red one. The white one makes me look like a tool.

Oh well, it's still a great system.
 
I love my DS Lite, and I don't mind the white color. I hear pink is coming soon, possibly in a bundle pack.

Just what you want, right?

I like my white one. From what I've seen in pics, and implications drawn from my GB Micro, the black ones will fingerprint like mad. I imagine they'll suck at hiding scratches too.

I don't care about the color, the white one is fine with me.

Sidenote, who has played Metroid Prime Hunters? I picked it up from ebay because I heard it was good, but I HATE HATE HATE HATE the control scheme, I can't get used to it. I'm going to try to sell it, I just can't stand it.
 
i tried metroid prime hunters.. but yeah... there's no way I can play an FPS not on a computer. I hate the controls. part of the screen is usually covered by my hand and it's just awkward trying to use the stylus to aim.

Wii's version will be interesting... I really hope that changes my attitude cause I'd like to play zelda... we'll see.
 
I think the white looks pretty sharp. I've got a white one. Reminds me of the finish on my girlfriends Ipod. Like a white plastic with a plexiglass type of coating over it. Really sharp. The last thing I pruchased from Nintendo was the original Game Boy. Still have it and it works great. My friend talked me into getting one of the DS Lites and it's great. Just got it yesterday. Can't wait to try out multiplayer with the wifi.
