Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a remake of NGB, correct? You should enjoy it a good bit, NGB is a fantastic game, not nearly as dark as NG2.

As far as I know, it's a remake for the PS3 with upgraded visuals. I've played the first couple levels and I really enjoy it (I also played the crap out of the demo, which is just the first level). I just have too many other games distracting me at the moment to dive into it.

Yeah. NGB (and Sigma if it's the same game) is great as it can be extremely difficult (especially at harder difficulty levels) but it never feels cheap or like the enemies are just annoying. They gave NG2 the Gears of War 2 treatment and tried to make it over the top, but they went WAY too far on alot of parts (usually during boss battles). They aren't necessarily difficult, but sometimes they'll do something (usually some unblockable grab/throw combo that knocks 1/2 your life off) and I'll yell "Oh come on!"

while the giant fire armadillo thingy...it was easy but it killed me 2 times with it's dying explosion (finally the 3rd time I had full life and even then the explosion almost killed me).

For future reference if you play again...block. I had almost no life left and blocked before the explosion and it didn't hurt me at all.

Edit: Didn't read all replies. bigrash already covered this.

Ninja Gaiden (even before NGB graced us) was one of my favorite Xbox titles. I've been meaning to pick up NG2 so I guess if it's $9.99 at BB this week I might as well pick it up.
