After I get out of work (yay to overtime), I'm buying it. Was playing the demo before coming into the office and it was a blast.

Well after playing the demo I might wait a bit to pick this up. I had enough problems with the camera in just the demo to not make it worth $60.

Camera is a real pain in the ass and sours what is otherwise a tip top game. It doesn't kill it, but it sure does annoy.

Yeah, nice fast game but I will wait for a Platinum release. 30 bucks or less. :) Nicegameplay and enough gore to keep me happy.

I just played through the demo... and if my pal can hook me up on the cheap, I'll get it. Otherwise, whatever. The game very well may be extremely brutal, but honestly, I wouldnt know. Most of the time, its moving far too fast to see anything good... other times, the camera gets stuck somewhere lame and you've gotta re-center it.

I didn't die once in the demo, and if this is supposed to be an NG title, why is that? Also, it felt way too button mashy for me. I didn't feel like I had much control over than pressing quick attack a lot, then heavy attack some times.

The item selection menu there? What garbage. I had no clue which menus on the up and down were magic, and which were items (weapons was easy enough to figure out)

Finally, it felt like I was just randomly running around with very little actual direction in the game... at one point, you get to a "store", and its a dead end. I backtracked for a while, then was like "wait, I dont think this makes sense" so I went back to the store, and there was some well you had to jump down. I tell you this so you don't get frustrated. I assume the reason for the level was to go after the big boobed chick, but the minimal story elements and hokey dialog made me care very little... just run and kill people. I wish I could see more of the death and dismemberment.

You must not have done any of the obliteration techniques to finish people off. Very up close & personal views of people getting sliced apart in various ways. I admit that the game isn't super strong in the story element but really, has there ever been a Ninja Gaiden that was? Insofar as the camera goes there have been a few times so far that it's gone a bit off on me but most of the time its been fine.

Oh, I did them. They are also a bit too fast. I get the gist of what is going on when they happen, but they should have maybe slowed down time to see it happen better.

I loved the demo and have bought the game. I really enjoy it, but I suck at games like this (I sold my copy of the original NG after realizing I was never going to be able to finish it for lack of skill). The boss at the end of Chapter 2 is very tough, and I am having a hard time getting past him. We shall see . . .

Forget that. You don't slow down Ninja Gaiden baby! :p

I got to the store and was supposed to get to SOMETHING, 360 said "loading" for 10 mins, I shutdown and deleted.

I played the boss at the end of level 2 for about 10 minutes yesterday and couldnt beat him and had to go out so couldn't finish that stage. I'm gonna try again today.

The first boss was a little tough too. Luckily I had gone to the shop beforehand and kept replenishing my health everytime I came close to dying.

I tried the NG2 demo this weekend, and to be honest it just felt like they didn't really improve the game at all. Not really a bad thing since the first game was good, but I don't know if I want to pay 60$ for something that's mostly the same as a 20$ game I bought last year.

This camera has perhaps the worst camera in any game, ever.

It's so much worse than the one from Black I doubt they'd possibly be able to make it any worse if they tried. In fact, playing this game at a friend's house made me think I should get NG Black. It's pretty cheap and it's essentially the same thing. Last time I tried playing NG Black, though, I got stuck on the water level.

NG is already on the border of hard and frustrating. A bad camera pushes it into frustrating for me so I think I'll have to pass (unless I find it in a $5 bargain bin).

I picked up the game yesterday and have been loving it, but I loved the first one too. I haven't had any trouble with the camera at all, so maybe that was a demo problem?

Out of curiosity, what game do you users think is better... Shinobi (PS2) or Ninja Gaiden (XBOX). I'll go back one generation of consoles to be more fair graphic-wise.

I tried the NG2 demo and it was ninja slicin' fun as always. I didn't really have any trouble finding out where to go (even when it came to jumping down that nefarious well). I didn't really listen to the game when they said to finish off sliced up people, and let me tell you... they can be pretty dangerous. Not only will they go shuriken happy, they will sometimes jump on you and blow themselves up.

I enjoyed NG much more than Shinobi.

And good god I hate the suicide bombers. They were my very first death.

Ninja Gaiden way better than Shinobi.

I liked the demo and didn't have that much trouble with the camera. Probably because I am used to the crappy camera from the first one. I just have to make liberal use of the Camera centering button. I will be buying it soon. First I have to finish GTA IV which I have barely started.

I finally took some time to play the demo and I enjoyed it. It's a next-gen Ninja Gaiden and nothing more. I wasn't expecting something ground-breaking. The camera got a little wonky in a couple of places but re-centering with the right trigger was easy enough.

I thought the Scythe was brutal though. :)

Yeah, that lvl 3 Scythe is devastating to say the least. I also got pretty good at the Lunar Staff. Broke 100 combo with it pretty easily when he started windmilling that SOB everywhere.
