Not sure which one I have, but was wondering if there's any mods to make them liquefy any better?

I tried looking around, maybe I don't have the right key words. Mine works pretty good, but I usually end up with a lot of say nuts or fiber bits in the bottom after blending. Maybe none of the blenders fully suspend everything you put in?

What kind do you have? Tower blade type system or the cup blade type system? Sharp blades are required for the best liquefying of either type of system. The Ninja blenders may call themselves high speed, but they are nothing compared to a blendtech or vitamix.

My tower blade ninja blender does pretty well with frozen fruit and greens like kale or spinach. I still get some very small pieces left. A vitamix would completely liquefy everything.

Mine is the tower style with the sharp blades, but it does also have the smaller quart size size with the cup blade.

Yeah I've heard the Vitamix is the way to go, but I don't really want to own 2 systems. I thought maybe there was a way to upgrade the blades to make it liquefy better.

im thinking of getting a Ninja too because of the lower price.
i was hoping the Ninja can work like a juicer but without having to throw away the pulp away. guess the Vitamix is better for that?

I use the Ninja for smoothies and it works fine. If you need to be as thin as juice only the high speed blenders can do it. A ninja is not a high speed blender (whatever they want to claim)
When I use more fibrous items like dates I will use a nutri ninja cup and blade to pre-blend those items with some water. If your ninja blender has the base that you can use the nutri-ninja blades that could be something to pickup to enhance it. The smaller cup and blade system chops up the dates and items like spinach smaller than the tower blades could on their own.

I don't really juice with mine. Thrown in blueberries, bananas, nuts, apples, kale, spinach, etc with skins and it mashes everything up pretty well. You still get larger bits of fruit which isn't a big deal to me, it's that most of the heavy stuff sinks to the bottom and it's like drinking cement.

Kale, spinach and apple peals never get chopped up enough for me. I peal apples, and kale or spinach gets pre-blended in the blend cup. In a vitamix, it would all be turned to liquid if you blend it long enough.

Ninja = 24,000rpm, Vitamix = 37,000rpm. I own a vitamix now, i used to own a ninja. To use a car analogy there is no replacement for displacement(rpms in this case)

Agree with this, except I have one of the higher-end Blendtec models (with the quiet shielding so I don't wake the kids in the morning with an airplane engine cycling up). A few months ago I had to replace the jar on my Blendtec and pulled an old crappy blender out of storage. I could barely take down the smoothies it whipped up as they were super thick and full of unbroken stuff. It is difficult to describe just how different the consistency is between a quality blender and everything else.

Will one of these high speed, high end blenders take me to the holy grail of slushy heaven?

My Ninja usually leaves me with fine ice and whatever the liquid I used as 2 separate components.

yes... couple thick chunks sliced off a whole ginger root.

This is the best part of owning a vitamix/blendtec. It doesnt matter what you put in it no matter what its going to get completely ground up.
