Nine Inch Nails - Leaving Hope

This is an all instrumental song off of Trent Reznor's album "The Still". I'm sure a lot of you have heard this disc. I was just recently introduced to NIN by a fellow AT'er 🙂 I really love this song... If you listen to the whole thing, what does it mean to you?

Nine Inch Nails - Leaving Hope (5.45mb)

When I listen to this song, I imagine someone standing in the doorway of a house, stepping outside of it because they have to leave what they know behind. It sounds like such an epic song to me. Makes me think of a journey that is about to take place.

The midi'ish cello sounded too whinney to me...I wouldn't say it sucked by any means but it felt like a metal band trying to write the score for Road to perdition....

Amazing song. I bow before Trent Reznor.

You're gonna get what you deserve.

I've not heard this one before, the intro sounds a lot like a Prodigy song. Personally I think he's too good of a vocalist to be making instrumental songs. There's better instrumentalists out there and he should stick to what he does best.

NIN is kinda like Phish for me (not in the way they sound... lol) - In both cases, there are some weirdass songs I don't get, some I downright hate, and some which I love. In both cases, more that I love, so  to both. I like this song, voted yes.

Oh, just great! Now you've done it. So I've got NIN lounging in the same directory as Patrick O'Hearn. Seriously, WTF?

😉 😀
