Neither but if I had to choose I've heard nothing but good things about the Rayovac 1 hour rapid charger.

If you can afford a little more I'd suggest getting a bundle from Sunnbattery.com through their eBay auctions (ptron1 is their eBay userid) they have 8 1800 mAH NiMH's, MAHA 3 hour rapid charger and car adapter for $42.95 plus $6.50 shipping.

vinny, Big Lots is the same as Pic & Save and McFrugals in SoCal.

This has been posted on FW since July 2nd. FW members also say that when you buy a pack of these batteries from Pic & Save/Big Lots, a $3 coupon for your next purchase of these batts prints out on the bottom of the receipt. Some were having them rung up separately so they could use the coupon on each subsequent package they were buying.

Just bought the Energizer set from Sams today since my Canon A40 ($249.99 + tax) should be arriving tomorrow!

This set includes 8 1700 mAh 1.2V Batteries and a AA NiCd and NiMH charger.

The only down side I see is that it will take 7 hrs to charge up the NiCd or 14 hrs for the NiMH batteries.

Does anyone know if Big Lots still has the 4 AA 1600s for $5? I bought a bunch of them and they work great. they are the Panasonic. Can you get the adapters for C & D cells anywhere else?

Yes they do but most Big Lots stores are out of stock, a few in my area still have some left.
