Except that you can't get one on a DSLR (yet).

I actually did something like this with a pinhole video camera and a small LCD screen, same concept.

It's only really useful for making sure you have the subject in the viewfinder, I found that even with autofocus on it was just too hard to aim. It can come in handy but as other people have said, it is limited.

Cool concept as long as you can get it exact. I'd think the edges of the viewfinder would be hard to get perfect...especially if you have to tune it and tune it again. Focus would also be something I would be wary of...primarily if you don't rely on auto focus.

Cool, I got so use to not having to look through the eye piece on my Nikon 950 and 995 that it took a bit of getting use to with the D70.
