You will find a lot of "IMAGINARY" camera deals at BW Photo.
Check resellerratings.com first.

Thanks for the heads up. The next best deal I found was at Bestbuy.com for $1070 after rebate.

That is a good price being it comes with the 18-70 lens. When I was looking at buying a D70 earlier in the fall, just the base was $1000. $70 more for that lens is a great deal.

BAD SITE. USE THEM FOR PRICEMATCHING ONLY!

My current favorite for AMEX use is A&M Photo in popular photography, e.g, the D70 kit there was 789 last month, the rebel kit was only 524.

If you read the context of his post it's clear he meant that is his favorite site to use for pricematching.

Yes, D60 lenses will fit on this camera. Most any Nikon lens will, actually, but for full functionality you want to use autofocus lenses.

I think you mean N60. D60 is a Canon camera.

All Nikon lenses will "work". Some of the earlier AI and AIS (I believe this is correct) lenses will not meter correctly (these are also manual focus lenses). Nikkor AF lenses will meter correctly.

Be carefull with some 3rd party lenses... depending on how old they are, they may need to be rechipped to work correctly (I had this happen to me with a couple Tokina Lenses).

how's the D70 compared to the Canon Eos 20D? THey are within striking distance of each other price wise..

Maybe 20D>D70, but not >>>

it all depends on your style and which body you like. some people simply can't work the canons like they can the nikons. but the 20D doesn't outclass the D70 by any means...

True, I used to think like everyone else that the Canons are the ultimate and mile ahead of the competition, but recently I learned that Nikon is up there too. The D70 vs. 20D thing is all about personal preference because both cameras will take excellent pictures.

Oh HELLLLL NO don't buy from that place! Best deal so far is from BuyDig.com, $1,082.00 for the kit BEFORE $200 rebate, so only $882 AFTER rebate. BuyDig is a legit and authorized Nikon dealer, with very high reseller ratings.

Forgot to add: free shipping (if you choose, I've read many people got free shipping upgrades though, so good stuff), and no out of state tax - they're located in NJ. Also, make sure you click the "Buy Now" button to see the real price instead of $1299.

There was a day or two when they had it for $982 or so before rebate. I think it was a mistake before they adjusted for the rebate savings. I wish I got in on it then. Anyway for now the current Buydig deal is the best.

Concur. Go with Buydig. I just got my D70/18-70mm kit shipped to me from them. Shippin, customer support, accuracy in advertising - all were in order. They are an authorized Nikon dealer. No grey model stuff. Legit warranty from Nikon and valid rebate form.
