how is this camera, the reviews i read seem ok, it isn't the greatest camera in lower light conditions, but my guess is, most point and shoot digital cameras aren't great in low light situations.

my wife wanted something small and convenient.

you guys think this one fits the bill?

i'm curious how the pictures look too. my wife wants a smallish camera also. we were looking at the s5 - s9 models, reviews weren't very raving about them, so we have held off on buying.

check out the price.

i got it for $230.00 shipped.

it has pros and cons but i haven't seen a perfect point and shoot yet, i think it is impossible to build a perfect point and shoot, you just have to figure out if its strengths meet your needs or not.

S5 actually has quite a few more features including

? Continuous (approx. 2.2fps) (S9 does 1.67 fps)
? Multi-Shot 16 (approx. 2fps at 6M) (S9 n/a)
? Interval timer shooting (S9 n/a)

plus the LCD is much higher resolution in S5.

the S9 is a bit lighter.
