Nikon Coolpix 4500 $449.99 AR Amazon.com 4MP, 4x optical zoom

How did you do that? Their current listed price is $599 -$200 = $399

I just ordered it from BuyDigitalDirect for $549 + $10.23(ship) - $200 (MIR) (no tax) = $359.23 shipped to cali

That's the best I could find. They had a good rating, so hopefully they will come through. Anybody dealt with them?

Too bad Dell is not stocking this camera right now, with all of their current coupons!

This Sunday's Office Depot ad had it for just under $400 AR. I have had a Coolpix 995 for over a year now and very satisfied. Thought about picking this up and selling the 995, just to pick up the slightly better resolution (3.3MB to 4MB), a few new features plus a fresh warranty.

These are very nice cameras.

Bump so people can keep posting the latest best prices for this camera while the $200 rebate is still in effect.

BuyDigitalDirect did the typical Brooklyn camera thing of calling me back to confirm and trying to sell more stuff. Strangely, the only thing they tried to sell me was an extra battery, and were not pushy at all when I said no. He said the camera will be shipped right out and I should get it in 5-7 days. Very cool (or rather hot?) if it is the full american version as claimed and Nikon processes the $200 rebate as claimed. It's been working for other people, so I am not too worried.

I did notice that this place raised their price $50 since yesterday, so there is probably now a better price somewhere else.

Royal Camera has it for $358 (not sure if the rebate will work there). You may want to buy it elsewhere and then take advantage of the expiring AmEx BVG (but I think the merchant would have to charge your card today for it to be still valid for Internet price matching). Do a search to find the other thread. (There is also a very long thread on big billfold.)

I went through the motions of checking out. $358 + $59.99!!! Ground S&H = $417.99 Total. Again, I would NOT buy here (I don't know anything positive or negative about them) but use it to BVG. (Just got my check from AmEx a couple days ago 😉

Also, if you're buying from Amazon, there is a $30 coupon to get a Viking CF card plus a $25 MIR on the 256MB CF. The final cost is about $9 for 256MB. (The coupon's on the same page as the camera, see the first link above.)

Did you actually get the refund check from AMEX for the price diff to Royal Camera? And you were also able to submit the $200 rebate to Nikon? $158 (or was it 218 cuz of the RC shipping?) for this camera is ridiculous. I am so jealous. I never got one of the AMEX Blue cards, so I miss out on all of the BVG fun.
