Well, I finally broke down & just pulled the trigger.

My Canon Powershot 110 is showing it's age. Still works great & I have a Nikon D70 as well.

At least this wasn't an impulse buy. I waited a few weeks to be sure I still wanted it!

I ordered one last night with ground shipping. Fedex shows 2-day. Sweet! I did have to call them and get offered a sales pitch but when I told him I already had accessories lined up the topic ended and I was good to go. I can't wait for this to come..I've wanted a pocket camera for awhile now.

Which one is the bill of sale. Is it the Invoice that i have recieved along with the camera or is it the one i printed after ordering.
Section 3A of the rebate form says your copy of bill of sale should show products serial number on it and it does not. Does it matter?

I also bought the camera and had the same question. I called Nikon and they said as long as the bill of sale has the product specifically mentioned and it has the price then you are fine. It does not have to have the serial number on the receipt.

i bought a nikon 3700 for my girlfriend right after christmas from butterflyphoto for $126 after rebate. So I sent in my rebate on January 5th, 2005. I received a $100 check today, February 12th, 2005 from Nikon. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up on how long it took to receive the rebate.

its my first time doing the rebate thing so i'm happy to say that it was a positive experience.

thanks for the update and good to hear you had a good first rebate experience. sticking with rebates only from reputable companies that have received good feedback on AT is a good way to avoid biting at rebates from somewhere like Tiger Direct. I've read some members here post updates 8 months later to say they finally received a rebate from company Z after X number of phone calls and emails.

I mailed it on 1-24. The status says

Date Received Promotion Item Check Number Check Issue Date Amount Status
02/28/2005 COOLPIX 3700 #### 03/04/2005 $100.00 Check Issued

The dates are a little funny - like they recvd it 35 days after I mailed it. And they issued the check more than 2 weeks before I got it.

Nothing for me yet. I sent mine on February 7th and it's not even in the Nikon Rebate System.:Q

Mines not showing up in their system yet either.

I sent them an email on Friday about it. We'll see but I'm not too worried Nikon's very good on their rebates.

I haven't gotten mine yet; it was apparently sent early February but lost in the mail. They are cancelling the earlier check and resending it though, so I am still waiting on this. The rebate itself was definitely approved though.
