Thinking of changing from Air Max+...they wear out fast and many have posted better luck (and comfort) with the Vomero+ 4's.

I can find the Air Max+ 2009's for as low as $65 shipped from ecrater.com vendors....the Vomero around $110.

I am going to double check my arch and gait this weekend and see if anything has changed. I am a higher arched, under pronator to neutral runner.

I haven't run in the Air Max+, but I ran in several pairs of the Air Max Motos, from the +5 to +6. While the ride was good, the +6 models wore out after about 700-750km, while the +5 lasted about 850-900km. Still very good.

I'm now on my first pair of the Zoom Vomero +4 and I think they're an excellent shoe. Very good cushioning; keeps your feet comfortable on long runs and speed sessions without giving an overly "soft" or ride. They're still a fast shoe.

My go-to store, runningwarehouse.com, sells them for $130. Roadrunnersports.com has them on clearance for $109, (the Air Max+ sells for $160 on the same site).

Unless I find a cheaper site, I'll jump on the clearance ones at RRS.

Edit: The shipping is $35 to Canada, which sucks, but for shipping within the US, it's a good deal.

Any experience with the Lunar Elite or Trainers...I lift more than I run now (I will do about 3 - 5 miles a week, I lift 4 days.).

A friend has run in the Lunar trainers and quite likes them (I haven't personally). They're a completely neutral shoe (although the Vomero is essentially neutral shoe) so don't expect any support. They're also less durable, but it sounds like you're not doing a lot of mileage, so that won't be a problem.

I usually lift in a pair of old, worn out trainers and keep my current trainers specifically for running. I know lots of guys in here prefer a simpler shoe just for lifting though - something with a flat sole such as Converse All-Stars or an Adidas Stan Smith. Your call there.

I have all-stars...just don't care for them as a workout shoe (I also had some wrestling shoes)...

usually I use my old running pair for the gym...but I don't have any to move down right now as my current are worn out.

I am going to try and check out some stores this weekend.
