VCs on sale for $50 at footlocker or eastbay. While I dont recommend wearing them on the street, can't beat the quality/price on the court.

As for the Air Sig Player, no foamposite technology here, i'd pass...even for $30...spend a little more and get a much better shoe in the VC.

just my $.02.....

So are you saying VC's are not for outdoor use? If so, what would you recommend?

What are some good sneakers forums? I need to get some new sneakers and would like to read up on them before I fork over some money.

In the review, it does say the Air Sig player use FoamPosite: See below. And I couldn't find VC sereise on eastbay, only VCII, and it's selling for $149.99, [duh]

Moving up to the upper, as mentioned briefly above, the stiff Foamposite-based upper provides excellent overall support and protection for the foot.

For the Shox VC on eastbay, try this link:

Linky

If that doesn't work, go to east bay and search "Shox" then go to the second page.

As for not using shox vc outdoor, i've only found some traction problems, but that's really prob just me...I know some ppl who swear by it.

As for the foamposite technology, you're right it does have it. I mixed the Sig Player up w/ the Podposite.

They're my current everyday shoe. Only the legendary Air Nomo Max trainer (95) was a better shoe, IMO.

They are originally $150+ shoes. Whatever your feeling on what shoes should cost, more expensive shoes ARE better, and much better (most of the time)- it
s not all hype.

This shoe has been on sale at footlocker for quite some time now. Back when FL had the 20%-30% off coupon, you could have gotten this shoe for far less.

As for the shoes, it doesn't matter how it looks, as long as it gives u the proper support and comfort on the court.

I guess we have different definitions of good deals on shoes. For me, $49 is a bargain for a pair of shoes, especially Shox. Shoes last a LONG time with me, so I have no problem spending $100+ for them. My next pair might be the Air Supremacy Shox, which you can customize at nikeid.

The Griffey's were $149 originally when they came out. Dropped to about $119, then Finishline had em for $69.99, that's when I bought them.

And FWIW, they look a LOT better in real life than they do in the footlocker pictures.

FYI Amazon uses footlocker to furnish a portion of their sneakers. If the sneaker is from footlocker, you should buy it directly from footlocker and use the 15% off coupon that expires 6/15. The prices are the same at footlocker and amazon, if I'm not mistaken. Check it out. THe coupon is available at "obese-monetary-containment-unit".com

Thanks for the heads up. The extra $4 off enticed me to go ahead and order a pair. Came out to $34.20 after tax and shipping. Even if they look ugly, if they are comfortable I'll be happy with them.

I just got a Black/Silver pair shipped to me and I have to say that I'm pretty impressed with the quality and style of the shoe. The outside is a smooth, hard, nylon material...not a glossy rubber that I thought it was going to be.

The shoes fit like a glove (very snug) and I'm going to go try them out in a couple hours. I wouldn't recommend them if you have wide or really flat feet. I'll try and let you guys know what happened after I get some basketball in on them.

Total deal for me was $40 bucks after shipping/tax through the Amazon link, and I received them about two days after I ordered!

Well, I played basketball for about two hours and the shoes seemed to do pretty well for me. Towards the end, my right big toe was bugging me a bit, but it always does so I don't think it was the shoes. Traction and support was good as these shoes really hug your feet, but again, I don't think you should go with them if you have really wide or flat feet.
