Nike Fuelband - anyone order one?

I want one, but I will wait until someone posts a relevant review.
Also, its seems like something that you would get to wear on a constant basis as opposed to just wearing for activity.

That video does a shit job of explaining what the hell this thing is. No wonder you gave the link, it's impossible to describe it I guess...

No real reviews on it yet as it was just released yesterday. It tracks calories, steps, and "nike fuel" which is their measurement for activity. You set a goal and try to meet it throughout the day. It lets you know how close you are, etc. It's supposed to be a motivational tool to be more active (take steps as opposed to elevator). It's waterproof (although not for swimming). I think it uses a combination of 3 accelerometers along with some technology that measures oxygen to determine your activity. That's all I know...haha

It looks neat too.

Aha, thanks man, that explains it well. 😀

Although I think you're right about waiting for reviews. I wonder how accurate it really is.

Did anyone get/order a Nike Fuelband?

Link for the unaware:
http://www.nike.com/fuelband/
I pre-ordered it. Got it in the mail yesterday.

Brief Rundown:
It's capable of 4 modes: Time, Calories, Steps, and "Fuel"
Time, calories, and steps are obvious. "Fuel", on the other hand is quite interesting. This Fuel is some standardized numerical value which, according to Nike, can be used to measure against _any_ type of exercise (Biking/swimming/weight lifting excluded).

The app for the iphone tracks all of the above with a bluetooth connection to the device (or usb to your computer). When utilized with the Nike+ app for running, the combination of the Geolocation app and the Fuelband is pretty slick.

The coolest aspect of the band is the "Fuel" meter. You set a daily fuel goal (again, via the iphone app or your computer), and you can check your status of the goal according to the 60 or so white, red, orange, and green LEDs on the band.

I managed to order one yesterday. I wasn't able to order one of the preorders last week. Can't wait until it arrives.

if it could somehow track calories burned for crossfit workouts (and i had significantly more disposable income) i'd be more interested. unfortunately, it can't track weight lifting so it would basically be a $150 digital watch for me. it's still cool looking though.

I'm intrigued by it, but I see no mention of it working with Android, which concerns me. It's not for sale up here anyway, but I plan on heading to the United States of America in the next several weeks, so may pick one up if it seems to be worth using in my routine.
