Nike Air Jordan XVI + @ Champ's ($29.99, May Be Regional)

I just came back from the local Champ's Sporting Goods store in La Puente, CA where they're running a clearance on last year's Air Jordan shoes (XVI +) Although the tag on the shoe was labeled as $39.99, they rang up at $29.99 and the clerk suggested that I pick up another pair for the current "Buy One Get One Half Off" promotion. I walked out with two pairs of the Ginger Brown Jordan XVI +s for under $50 including tax.

Not a bad deal for a shoe that came out last year with a $160 suggested retail price.

Almost all of the Jordans are ugly. They aren't even that comfortable either. Interestingly enought, Nike used to (or they still might) make Team Jordans, which were cheaper and more comfortable than the actual Jordans...

Personally, it's an acquired taste on these. With the shroud on, they're not horrific. I can't stand the XVIIs. Just caught a glimpse of the XVIIIs, but can't tell how they look. I liked the XIVs though.

great deal. Personally I like the Black V's and Black/Red VI's the best, but those are hard to find. THe XVII's aren't bad either.

Probably a big YMMV on this one, I was at Champs in NJ and they were sill selling for $109.99.

I bought the shoes and THEN the clerk told me about the promotion (buy one, get second ½ off) So, I asked to return the shoes (that?s the first item, the -159.99) and re-purchased them (the -130.00) and get the ½ off second pair (the third item)

I have the Air Jordan 12' and 14's. The AJ 12's are the best pair of shoes I have ever owned, and I believe they are one of the best ever made. Extremely tough and durable.

LOL @ the possibility of me having gotten the last 2 pairs. I don't think that was the case.

What is completely plausible (and worries me) is that the employees there picked up the last pairs. The guy who rang them up for me was like 'Whoa! They're only $29.99 now.' He looked at the guy who brought me the shoe. He was already looking at the tag on the shoe that said $39.99. Maybe after I left they cleared out whatever was left???

No idea, and again best of luck to you all in finding them. I posted this at FW as well and some members had already known (if only they'd posted for everybody...)

I was at the Puente Hills store last night (right before closing) and was able to get a pair of the Jordans at $29.99. It seems like that specific Champs Sports is either clearing everything out or going out of business. It looked like all throughout the store, only 3 pairs of shoes were regular price. Nonetheless, the sales people were cool and my g/f and I snagged a Pair of Jordan's at $29.99, a pair of Adidas Superstars (also at $29.99 but they only have size 7 in stock), and a few other shoes. Great deals can be worked out if you use their buy one get the second at 50% off.

HotSauce, they make it look like they're clearing everything out, but they keep restocking (they just brought in new Tampa Bay Bucs sweatshirts to coincide with the Super Bowl Win)
