"Nightvision" monitor problem

My friend has a monitor and it seems like you're wearing nightvision goggles when you view it. It has a greenish tint everywhere. In his monitor settings I've adjusted the "temperature" and I still have problems. Brightness/contrast don't help anything, either.

I've run out of ideas on how to fix it. Any help?

Thanks,

Well the thing is... he used to have this thing in his control panel called "Adobe Gamma Display", when I used that I could make the colors correct. But ever since he reformatted I don't have any luck.

Video card problem? Have you tried other monitors on his system?

EDIT: I think adobe gamma is part of Photoshop. I have photoshop6, and adobe gamma is in my control panel.

check out the pins for the monitor cable to make sure that they are all clean and unbent.
