This completely waterproof (as in submersible) night vision scope (Gen 1 + - I believe) sells for a retail 399.00. I could not find it for less then 350.00 on the net. Sportsmart in Fountain Valley, Ca. is selling for $99.00 until Tuesday. Picked one up last night to fool with and it really works well. Built in IR illuminator allows you to use an "invisible flashlight" to check things out in total darkness. Enough ambient light allows vision without. Not the clearest picture but descent for night illumination. I revel in my geekness...

Can you say what model number it is? I think I'll check out my local sportsmart later today see if deal is here in Vacaville, California. Thanks for the tip it sounds like a cool toy.

edit: Is it the yellow Nepture Model #FT500 ? Thats the only one I could find matching your description it sure looks nice and MSRP is $400, I sure hope my Sportsmart has the same deal.

I am sorry. Wrote this after a long night. It is the model #FT-500 "Neptune"

If anyone is interested maybe I could help those of you not able to get to
a sportsmart. E-mail me an offer.

Is this a self-powered one? I looked at one (I think the FT-300) at Big 5 Sports where they had it for $99.99. It was the pezio electric (?) one that you have to squeeze a bellows to power it up. One squeeze at a time for about 2.5 seconds of NV. My hand cramped up after about 20 seconds worth of light.:disgust:

I thought it was too good to be true and it is, I went to Sportsmart today and they have it on display as "on sale" for $399, which is about the MSRP so not a deal, but damn if you got it for $99 it must have been a markup error you should think about getting more at those price and sell on egay haha if they havn't caught the mistake yet, lucky bastard.
