Night elf strategies

I need to learn some night elf strategies. I need to find out how to get more gold. Last game i played, my tree was only giving me 7's instead of the usual 10's. Also, i don't know which unit is best against air. For land, i'm using Chimeras.
 
well, the more ppl u have the more upkeep you have to pay per gold mined.. if u get to high upkeep i think u only get 4 per gold whatever. 😛 as for strategy, there isn't much in the current game since u must build rush to defend against rush😛 in 2v2+ its 2 ppl rushing u and ur dead unless ur ally also went rush and comes to help. games kinda sad right now😛 in starcraft u could actually hold off a 2 person rush with decent defenses, but now u gotta build massive troops to defend😛
 
Woohoo my first victory as a Night Elf (ok, ever)! Damn, i rocked them! It was a 2 vs 2. I had 3 heroes and like a dozen Chimeras upgraded to the max. We took out the first, then the second. Wicked!!
 
But damn, those Chimeras rock! I took out an entire town with half-dozen of them in like 2 minutes. Yzzim, how's the download comin along? 😀

i think nefrodite uses them as periods.
 
hippogriffs with mounted archers work well against other air units. Takes a while to get them though and they are expensive.
 
you gotta keep it under a certian amount of units to keep the 10 gold. Hover your mouse over the upkeep icon in the upper right hand corner.

a good strategy with heros is to only have one or two, and work them up really early in the game. Just walk around the map and kill all the NPC's you can find. Grab the good items and once you get him up to level 7-10, they'll be hard to stop.
 
3 heroes? WTF?! lol. Dang, usually you work on one hero and then a second near the end. A third only for fun usually.

Chimuras? Dang, must've been a "long" game. Usually you wouldn't be able to get that far nor that many if they know what their doing. My strategy is pretty much archers/huntress armies. Keep coming at em, don't let them expand, and don't let them get those chimuras. 😉 While you control the map w/ your army, expand and upgrade and just keep building. Tech up slowly, since all you want to do is upgrade weapons/armor for archers/huntress. I only go for Chimuras if they don't have any anti-air men and if its a long game.

Getting +7 gold instead of +10 at 30 men, due to Upkeep. Blizzard put this in so that you don't have a huge army just sitting around always building up. Instead it forces you go around and fight. It goes to +4 later on, but I don't know at what number. I'm like 8-2, following this strategy... of course those two losses were due to sucky partners, but oh well. This game is so heavily dependent on your partners, which is the only downside to me. If they suck, you're pretty much screwed.

Waahaa, just got my ass kicked yet again! Damn, why is it that the person i join up with in a 4 vs 4 game always sucks so damn hard? Where can i find some good Night Elf builds and such?
 
Wohoo another victory! Only thanks to my partner though, he was good. Saved me once, they would have had me. I didn't have a big enough army ready, won't make that mistake again.
 
😛 just beware of footmen, they'll rape your little nightelve ass pretty easily. hipogryph riders aren't bad, once u mount the archerer the upkeep only counts for the hypogryph🙂
