I can't argue with anything you just said. Another plus: these plants are so easy to run. Plus the maintenance is almost insignificant.

Probably why the power industry built so many in the last 10years. 😀
 
Yeah, not to mention the low staffing costs. This is an 820MW facility and there are only 29 people employed here.

We're mostly a baseloaded facility but we're on AGC and we can ramp up really fast. I'm new so I don't know the max ramp rate yet, but I do know that we can go from a cold plant to fully loaded with the duct burners on in a few hours. Try that a nuke or coal plant... :Q
