Yeah....SA<->Houston is basically the same. Lots of nothingness. Somehow, there's a lot of that in Texas once you get out of the major cities.

Yeah, but then again, that's more or less the whole west, except california. I believe the statisic is that ~95% of the population of the west lives in cities.

That sounds about right. I read something too like ~60% of Texas' population lives within 60 miles of I-35 :Q (and it's probably only that low because I-35 doesn't go through Houston).
