Fat Jim also calls it a masterpiece, and so do many good critics "outside the norm".
It is, regardless, a casual game. And on a casual platform, so not something id be interested in. But i suppose if you have a joypad this could be a nice title to spend time on ... after God Of War, ofc.

I've been waiting for an official patch for this game before I buy. Every once in a while I'll look it up on Steam, and it still hasn't been patched to fix some serious bugs.

I went ahead and picked it up for $26 on humble bundle. I could have gotten PS4 but I hate playing games with controllers.

It's been on my wish list a while. Have plenty of time and other games to play before I get to Nier, so hopefully they put through a final patch and squash any remaining bugs.

It'll be $5 by the time I get to it...

Hasn't the PC version been buggy from the start? At this point I wouldn't be too hopeful of it being completely fixed.

I saw criticisms of the PC port, but they didn't sound that severe and I prefer kb/mouse.

It was a success, so I think they'll make a sequel (or just 'another one' in the franchise, if it's not a direct sequel). I'll wait for that one instead. I also waited for the devs to officially patch it, never happened. Then I thought maybe I'll buy it if the price goes down significantly. It might have, but I must have missed it when it did go down. By now, however, it's been so long that it takes threads like this to remind me that it exists. Maybe I'll consider it one day if it drops down to $10 or something like that.
