Nielsen Survey...5 free dollars?

so I got a nielsen survey in the mail...I was like cool so people actually do get selected for these things, and raitings aren't made up. so I open it up and 5 crisp 1 dollar bills are inside, did they just really send me cash?

They only gave me either 2 or 3 bucks...i still filled out the survey hoping to "upvote" some of the better shows.

The loot is up now. Nelsen used to send surveys to me and it was only about $2 or $3 bucks but they were brand new.

Ya and if they pick you to do the week-long tv journal you get $30. It's super easy if you don't watch much tv. 😀 We only got $3 in the initial one though and that was less than 6 months ago. =/

My cousin was actually a Nielsen household for a couple years. It was in the 80's and they had hooked up all sorts of cables and boxes, etc. They downloaded the info once a day to compile their ratings. I think they said that his TV choices accounted for something like 30,000 households.

I also think they sent him 50.00 every quarter for his participation.

Yep. I got one about 10 years ago with $5. I kept the cash and did not send in the survey.

I was part of the Nielsen Ratings for a couple years. They were generous in paying for things.
