Nielsen Online

BUTCH1

Lifer
So I get this call the other day, it's from Nielsen Online, offers to pay me $15 to take a survey. Today I
got an envelope with instructions for filling out the survey, and $15 cash!, 2 fins and 5 one's. Hard to believe
in this day and age anyone would mail cash but there it was, wrapped in the instructions so it could not be seen
through the envelope. Survey took about 30 min., mostly do you shop here kind of stuff so if they call and you
want a quick $15 don't hang up!!.

I got one of those a few months back to record what channels my tv was on...it was a easy $15 too...although I dont know if it was nielsen

That seems
incredibly
shady.

I got a Neilson's radio survey a couple years ago and all I got was $10 and I had to keep a log of my radio listening for 1 week.

Edit: The company may have been Arbitron.

Once I completed the survey I was offered $60 GC every 6 months if I install a TV viewing tracking software on my home
computer. Going to check the details fully before I install ANY tracking software on my system but so far this company seems
legit..

That's the weird part, nothing. But since I'm gonna get a large pepperoni pizza tomorrow on them I decided
to be honest and took the survey..

aside from your post being annoying....have you never heard of Nielen, really?

I got a total of $8 for a radio survey the other week. It wasn't nielsen, though. It was Albatron or something.

Remember my mom once signed up for a consumer survey at a mall booth for an instant $10 or something - when it arrived in the mail it was seriously like 60 pages of 20 questions per page. She tried to be kind and actually go through the survey, a quarter the way through got fed up and just started circling the choices randomly for everything afterwards. They'll hassle you with phone calls if you don't send it back. Don't know if that's the same with Nielson.

I used to be part of the tv survey stuff. It became too much work with them having to come out every couple months due to equipment alarms they needed to check. They started sending some shady looking people, the last time the tech showed up with a bunch of dirty looking foreigners saying they were shadowing him to learn the trade. One just decided to go for a walk around my place. I cancelled that evening.

I'm thinking the software replaces the need for a box or dirty foreigners to check on it, but I'll scope it out throughly before i
install anything on my 'puter.

Hey you bigot, just because foreigners stink doesn't mean they're dirty.

The human conscience. Most people would feel guilty to take the money and not fill out th survey.

They ended up calling me to inquire about the form and I told the lady the dog ate it.

She was laughing soo hard, I thing she accidently hung up on me.

Never heard from them again.

I got a $2 bill and a SASE to voluntarily provide feedback/statement regarding the service from an outboard marine engine company. Their service was fantastic, but I never finished the letter.

I still have the $2 bill.

Well
$15
is
hardly
worth
30
minutes
of
my
time
filling
out
some
stupid
survey.

Obligatory
"WOULD
YOU
LIKE
TO
TAKE
A
SURVEY??"
