I'm a UA grad, love college football, and prior to this year I went to just about all the Alabama home games.

1998 in MIS/CS.
hell yah...i'm undergrad for MIS right nowsupposedly our MIS program is in the top 3 in the nation >.> 100% job placement...avg. salary 50k
!
Professor Sharpe has been my favorite teacher throughout all my years of school. He just rocked so much more than any other professor that I've ever had.
cool, i will have him this comming semester for mis295...should be good...and challenging
You will definitely be challenged....but, for me at least, it wasn't the sucky kind of challenge. I truly enjoyed his classes and learned alot.
Definitely get involved like xchangx mentioned. Join the MIS groups, etc. You'll be much better off for the experience.
One thing I found out was that things are very political. Make friends with peers further along, they can help out with your projects.
When you're in 320 remember to put comments in your code and never send the code to DHale to look at (if he's teaching that class anymore). He will bring it up in class for everyone to see what NOT to do.
Also, I'm not sure if they have Halo tournaments anymore but we used to have them nightly at AIME, plus movies on the big projector was pretty cool. One of my projects was to install the sound system for the projector. Pretty sweet
badass! i'm stoked/been stoked about the program since day 1
