*Updated price

At Amazon.com, they have the Logitech MX700 Cordless Optical Mouse for $66.84, and then they have a $20 rebate. It's the cheapest I've seen it since some previous deal I missed where it was ~$35... If you don't mind waiting for the MIR, I would say it's a nice deal. I'll probably pick up one later.

Awesome mouse.. i got one from the Officemax deal. I really think it is worth $50. I have used a bunch of other optical mice and they dont have the precision this one has. Great for gamign! It also has the rechargable batteries that fix the major problem of batteries dying in older wireless mice.

Only problem: remembering to put the mouse on the charger when I'm not at the comp.. but that's not really a problem

great mouse. just charge it when you go to bed, or are leaving the house for an hour or 2. or even if you gotta run to the bathroom. no more problem of funky movement when i swing it left and right too fast in fps games.

Very tempted...very....but I just spent $50 on the HD-497's amazon had for a great price...so I think I'll pass on this one for now.

I've got the MX500, awesome mouse :) But if I got this, I'd move the MX500 to my laptop and use the 700 on my desktop...

Ah, if only I had the money...

So...this mouse reacts quick enough in gaming? I've heard complaints from people (not with this mouse) that the wireless tech just isn't that great for gaming yet...except for that gyration mouse or whatever that's like $200. Any comments? I have a ton of stuff on my desk, and the mouse cord is starting to really annoy me when gaming...I'd love to get rid of it!! Thanks.

I got this mouse from OD deal. I used the logitech mouseman optical wireless in the past and the difference is like day and night. The new mouse is much more responsive in games (I play tactical ops) Definitely the best mouse out there.

I got this mouse from OD's deal a couple of weeks back, what a great mouse. So much better then my IBM optical from before. The distance is great also, haven't skipped on me yet and I use it for gaming a lot. The recharging feature is just icing on the cake.

Anyone notice that with the FREE through 2nd day shipping options the estimated ship date isn't till Dec. 2 - 16th? Yet pick 1 day and it changed to Nov. 2. Could this be an error. I want free shipping, and I can wait 5-9 days for delivery..but to wait a month before it's shipped when it says usually ships in 24 hours? Anyone have any ideas? or see what I'm seeing?

The only complaint I have about this mouse is that the scroll button doesn't work in a few games, like Unreal Tournament 2003 and Warcraft III. Hopefully a new release of the drivers will fix that.

I have the MX700 and the Pro wireless K/B + mouse.

The MX700 beats the Pro mouse by a lot. No lag in any application or gaming. I actually no longer use the wireless mouse that came with the Pro set because of the lag problem.

Ok, so now I get reasonable ship dates for all except the standard shipping. Good thing I'm going with the FREE one then
;)

Sorry to bug. Thanks for everyone chiming in with gaming experience.

I would just do the OD $20 coupon, so no waiting for rebate.

I use the Wireless explorer for Counterstrike and now that Im used to it, it's pretty smooth.

First, I don't think there is even a $20 off $50 coupon, and second, Office Depot doesn't even have the mx700 from what it looks.

Ugh, Amazon shipping blows chunks sometimes. Just recently ordered an item 2-day Fed-Ex, usually ships in 24hrs. Ordered Sunday 8pm, unit shipped Friday, arrived Wednesday. Grrrr..... I b*tched, they won't refund the shipping....ugh.

Still, it's tempting to get this mouse....cord is gettin on me nerves
