they used a variety of rare woods that don't work so well together...glancing at that I see burl, fiddleback (curly), and (maybe) birdseye. Pick one and stick with it, and make sure to f-ing work out where you put what, forchrissakes. those funky woods call alot of attention, it's easy to get tacky. pay attention to what you're doing or just use standard maple. the painted handrail just looks trashy. the wall is the wrong color.

Would have been better to use a maple with a medium analine stain, and use the figured for the rail.
