This company rocks. See my post on the great deals on the Rounded Cables.

Link

And no, this isn't spam. Would it be better if he picked one item at random and listed it in the title? 😉

Sorry, but I maintain that you can't crap a hot deal thread. I understand exactly how/why Anandtech has established rules; I also believe that it is implied that hot deal threads need to have a specific hot deal involved. If I just posted a link to newegg without mentioning a specific item, I think most people would feel that was lame. Expandable has been around long enough to know that putting sale! sale! sale! in a link to a storefont, no matter how good svc might be, is pretty weak. This whole thread, title and link, is designed to non-descriptively lead people there--that is probably why the "spam?" question was brought up.

o man you are so very wrong... it is VERY ok to post a link to a company that's running a sale.. not every thread in here is about a sale or deal on a specific item.

Anyone know how good the "Aureal Vortex SQ1500 PCI 4 Channel w/Digital Out" sound card is. I really hate the sound thats coming out of my shuttle ak31a onboard sound card and could use a cheap sound card. =) thanx for the help

I think what Jdog was trying to say is that the title of the thread should be :

**Nice Sale!** with nice Company: SVCompucycle

That way people know what they are going to be looking at before they look at it.

Also, it makes searching for hot deals easier.

the aureal card you ask about....kicks sounblaster lives a**....however you will have harder time installing drivers...and future driver support is not an option as aureal went out of business....I paid 100$ for my 4 channel aureal card ...i believe these to be the same chipsets...and its sounded excellent..in fact..i gave it to a friend cuzz his athlon system kept crashing with a sounblaster live card...so i gave it to him and the crashes vanished...and it sounds great. Now i have this darned s/b live card sittin here and dunno wut to do with it!
BTW i just ordered from these guyz and i will not go into too many details but the service was what i believe to be AWESOME!!!

Exactly. Lets say that I'm looking for a deal on AS3 and an Alpha 8045 in a month. Although SVC would have it at a good price, this thread wouldn't come up.

All I'm saying is just try to make posts as informative as they can be; at least mention the company in the post somewhere other than the link.....

Definitely not Spam (believe me, I ate that crap for years as a kid...) This is a straigh-up company with excellent prices and customer service - highly recommended!
