the combo is at the bottom of the page.

with the $15.00 off $100.00 labor day sale code on the front page of Supperbizz "LABORDAY15" and free shipping and 5% bing cash back this come to $123.18 total.

You can easily overclock the cpu to 12.5 x 266FSB =3.33GHZ on stock volts with stock heatsink on this motherboard, alot higher with better cooling.

this is basically $50.00 for cpu. $50.00 for motherboard and $23.00 for 4gb ram 800mhz.

Your almost halfway to a HTPC or lowend gameing rig for $123.18

That is a nice find. Might need to look into this for the girlfriends parents. Much better than a PC that originally ran on Windows ME...

I run this combo in my main desktop..works great with my E5200 at 3.3ghz or so..

this motherboard is so tiny..its very interesting.

the nephew needs a new comp... this may do the trick! Hows the overclock settings on this mobo? and voltage adjustments?

still good for 2 more days.

Just so ya know shipping is slow, according to tracking on mine it gonna be 10 days from order date for mine to arrive.

Thats basicallt cause of the holiday weekend, normally it takes a about a week, sometimes less.

g31 boards (that i've dealt with) have no cpu voltage adj, some have mem volts, tho... u get what u get on stock volts... i've always made it to at least 250 fsb...

g31 boards are typically in the value segment and dont have great settings for overclocking. its a bummer because the chipset is decent.

just an FYI here, dont do Windows7RC+this board+Seagate hard drive(SATA). Something in the SATA driver in windows 7 when paired with a seagate 7200.11 or 7200.12 is very slow as if DMA couldnt be enabled even though the system says it is. WD and Hitachi seam to run great though.

I got around it by throwing in a SATA card in the PCIe1x slot for $9 from the egg.

I have an e5200 oced to 3.4 on a G31 Gigabyte and it rocks as my main rig on the cheap. Scores higher than Core 2 duo 8600 in sisoft. Granted it isn't quadcore it is still a good chip for gaming!

I've heard of G31 boards with bad SATA ports. I don't think that all G31s suffer from that problem though.

a couple months ago i wouldnt have considered this a good deal. i got the 5200 with an msi board at frys for 79, which is obviously better than this. but frys has really stopped the deals in the last few months. no more good combo deals from them at all.

Inventories in almost every industry are at historical lows. The ole supply and demand equation starts kicking in at some point.

why dont they lower prices a little to increase demand? dont they need to sell something to stay in business. you really dont see the deals that were around a few months ago, esp on higher end cpus. its saved me a lot of money, i havent seen a worthwhile frys deal in 6 months

Last day for this.

I am pretty sure it has no cpu voltage adjustment, that is the ont hing i did not like about it.

Still you can get to around 3.5ghz on stock volts.

jeez, i am still running a 2160 @ 3.0GHz, 4GB ram and a 4850 on a p35 m/b for nearly 2yrs now and still don't need to upgrade for anything - gaming (1920x1200), ps, illustrator, premiere/rendering, solidworks/rendering, etc...machine is still g2g - that 5200 will last quite some time for 95% of users - nice deal

To those that picked this up, did anyone try to OC yet ? Wanted to know your setting. Also did you have to change and of the BIOS defaults for the memory speed ?

My memory speed is 332.5, is that the right speed ? Do I need to tweak RAM settings in the BIOS ?

Also does it do RAID on the IDE channel ? I didn't see the BIOS utility for the Hard drive controller

Overall very happy with this little setup, a lot of bang for the buck!
