The church either owns the overflow parking lot and rents it to the hardware store when it is not in use by the church (and likely says in the agreement) or the hardware store owns the overflow lot and rents it out to the church until a given time (and likely says in the agreement).

Either way, you are an asshole who should have gotten towed, but the church-goer decided to have leniency on you. I'd have called the tow company right away to teach your self-important douche-ass a $300 lesson.

I wasn't the dude dancing around in front of a car in a parking lot that was normally ok to park in. There were no signs and it wasn't the church parking lot. If you would have paid attention I could have easily parked at the hardware store if these same church goers didn't use the spaces so they can exit faster.

I flew back in yesterday, I am in town but working 75miles from home for a week and then head back out to North Carolina, Research Triangle Park for a week or so. Cut my grass and put down some fertilizer and pesticide.

I complained when I walked into the store about WTF is up with the side lot and a truck blocking the entrance to it. (I had to go back out on the main road and enter).

The cashier told me they block the cut through so the church can use it and the owner approved it.

I was pissed because I had about 100lbs of bagged fertilizer and pesticides to load.

They helped me get it to my car.

I didn't need to dig into their financials or anything...just speaking up in public rather than staring at me feet works wonders to get some good intel.

I am also a regular there yet never shopped on a sunday afternoon. I have parked exactly where I parked many times on busier days. However those days had people inside the store. Today there was like 3 people and 5-6 employees. There is a good 30-40 spaces in front of it.

Not sure what you are saying here. Did they mention it in service? If so that was a pretty polite heads up to those that attend...the rest will not know.

They will tell the owners somehow too, but just gave the people a heads up so they know what's happening. I'm guessing some of the people in charge will go house to house and just put a letter in the mailbox or something like that.

I don't know about you guys, but I always keep my CASHIERS informed of all my specific financial transactions, and make sure to have them announce them to every customer, you know, to avoid confusion.

Since I know it went over your head, I'll state it more specifically: The cashier doesn't know shit other than to hit buttons, take your money, and give you exact change.
