Didn't really like the 442-441 leather. Maybe the display chair was just too hard; the cloth 442-441 was more comfortable. Really wanted a chair with horizontal arms to give right arm support while using trackball. Saw last week's ad posted and was told they'd honor it. Liked the Mid-Task 662-801 and Executive 260-431. Two other chairs I wanted to check out were not on display. Should've asked if in stock. Anyway got the 260-431. So I got last week's $20 discount plus $15 off from LA Times ad $100-20-15=$65.

Alrocky - I purchased the 442-441 chair a few days ago. I've been pleased with it for the price, but I don't expect to use for more than one year. It has a knob that allows you to adjust the seat firmness, so maybe the chair you tried was just adjusted too firm for you. Mine feels fairly comfortable, but not nearly as comfortable as the 266-991. BTW, I saw the 442-441 selling at5 WalMart under a different brand name for $99.99.

Dantzig, hmmm, I thought that knob on the bottom of 442-441 was only to allow leaning back in the chair. Guess it was something I overlooked. I could've bought the cloth one which was easier on the tush, but was more interested in getting horizontal arms. I hoped I didn't overlook the 266-991 that TimidOCer got for less than what I paid for the 260-431. Don't think it was on display or at least on sale at his price. What a steal! TimidOCer, which store had that price?

I gotta stop logging on here. Now I see that huge OD thread and all those bargains. All this money saving is adding up. Hopefully my last major purchase short term is a 64mb Radeon when it drops around $150, and getting broadband.
